Providing solutions for early childhood development
Our multi-disciplinary team has developed various specialised brain stimulation programmes for 0-5-year-olds in various contexts. We work with pre-school educators in marginalised communities in preschools, and informal playgroups, or more affluent preschools and home-schools, sharing knowledge, developing skills and encouraging creative problem-solving.
Our story
AmazingBrainz was founded by Dr Etienne van der Walt, neurologist, and founder of Neurozone. Etienne spearheaded the conceptualisation and initiation of the Ukwanda School of Rural Health of Stellenbosch University from 2000 to 2002, and it was during this time that he realised the need to invest in early childhood development.

Neurologist Dr Etienne van der Walt is instrumental in setting up the Ukwanda School of Rural Health and spends much time in areas of poverty in the Western Cape. Here, he realises the need to invest in early childhood development.
